Must'nt let the return of this forum kick off without mentioning the efforts of the first team this season and more so in 2012!
Kicking of 2012 we travelled to Brantham Athletic, a side flying this season and picked up a superb 3-0 victory! We were then off to Great Yarmouth Town where we picked up an important point in a 2-2 draw. Following this we welcomed Gorleston and picked up another three points with what could be described as a comfortable and well earned 2-0 victory. It didnt stop there as another three points came our way with a superb 3-1 away victory at Newmarket Town. At this point we hit top of the table (on the form guide) and something we have not achieved for several years! Back to Broad Lane as we welcomed league leaders Wroxham. Though we suffered our first defeate of 2012, the effort and performance was commendable. And finally last saturday we made the trip to face Gorleston and secured a 1-1 draw and thus remain undefeated against them this season.
Next up we travel to Diss this Saturday before we return to Broad Lane on Saturday 17th as we welcome Haverhill Rovers.
For me this season has been a rollercoaster and one hell of a ride. Casting my mind back its hard to believe that have performand so well after picking up only one win and a draw in our first 17 games of the season, a period which also included receiving a 6-2 thrashing at home by Halstead Town in the FA Vase.
Who would have thought just over four months later we would be sitting forth from bottom and recently topped the form guide with an impressive 10 points from 12 including a 3-0 victory at Brantham!
To be honest we all have faith and belief in the boys and we will give them our full support throughout the season no matter what, but the character of such young lads to keep battling on, to keep on going and believe in themselves that they could turn it around has been something special to witness and each and everyone of them can take great pride in their efforts for WTFC. Without doubt they have gained their rewards for their efforts and i along with i'm sure the rest of the supporters cannot speak highly enough of them all.
Looking forward to seeing how we progress for the remainer of this season, but where ever we finish i will hold great memories of it.

The squad and management have really turned results aroung this season, to the extent that we have a great opportunity to avoid the 3 relegation places - by the way 'if' Wroxham get promoted will only 2 sides be relegated ??
We are continuing to show our collective ability to compete at this level of football & with a bit of good fortune and no lack of effort, we will hopefully survive again this season.

Hopefully the side keep up the good form and there is no need to worry about any relegation issues this season!
My understanding is that the Ridgeons League AGM agreed to level up the size of the two divisions at the end of the season by reducing the Premier Division to 20 clubs. This means it is planned that 3 clubs will be relegated and only two promoted. I'm not sure it's been announced anywhere what happens if Wroxham are promoted, I suspect they wouldn't want less than 20 clubs in the Premier Division but that's just a guess.
In addition to winning the league Wroxham's promotion is also reliant on them making £70,000 worth of ground improvements this season, they have planning permission but the news stories didn't make it sound like they definitely have the funds or would beat the deadline to make the improvements.
So let's hope we finish at least fourth from bottom and don't have to worry about any of that lot.

Now there's no way I could possibly top Jon's excellent summary, so I won't try! Never been more proud of a Dragons side in the eight years I've been following them (yes, I'm a newbie).I sincerely hope we keep this up our excellent form because this group of lads deserve another crack at the Ridgeons Prem. As do Mo and Kev.
One final thing - it's good to be home so thanks for reinstating the forum.
