I see the 'Dragons Cup' is returning this summer.
Last years was extremely successful so i am expecting a big call for any willing volunteers, all help will be appreciated.
The below is taken from the Clubs website:
The Dragons Cup returns on Saturday 2nd June 2012 for the third year running.
Further details on the 7a-side football tournament are below:
. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of four matches. . All games take place in our Broad Lane Ground, The home of Ridgeons League Premier Division side Wivenhoe Town FC. . The event is seven-a-side and you can bring up to 10 players per squad. . Matches will be 5 minutes each way . There will be medals for all Under 6’s, 7’s & 8’s players. . There will be cups and medals for the winners and medals for the runners up in each age groups Under 9’s, 10’s & 11’s.
Please Note in compliance with FA regulations, teams entering age groups Under 11’s and below can include both boys and girls in their squads if they wish.
Venue: Main Pitch - Wivenhoe Town FC Broad Lane, Wivenhoe, Colchester, Essex CO7 7AH
Date: Saturday 2nd June 2012
Time Age Group: 9:00 - 12:00 Under 7’s & Under 8’s 1200 - 15:00 Under 9’s & Under 10’s 15:00 - 18:00 Under 11’s & 12’s
* Age groups based upon Season 2011/2012 Closing date for applications is Friday 11th May 2012 Entry into the ground for supporters is FREE of charge. Parking is available but will be charged at £1 per car which will include a programme.
Other attractions include . Club house with big screen . Hot and cold food and drink . Raffle for a chance to win some great prizes
With numerous off-field activities and special events, there will be constant activity through out the event and with our great playing facilities, making it a great day out for the whole family.
Teams from Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and London have been invited to participate.
